[origin: WO2018227222A1] The invention relates to a portable, battery-driven hydraulic unit (2) for hydraulic rescue tools, in particular for spreading or cutting tools, and to a rescue tool equipped therewith. The hydraulic unit (2) comprises at least one hydraulic pump (18), a hydraulic tank (25), an equalizing device (26) for hydraulic fluid, a manually actuatable, hydraulic control valve (28), an electromechanical interface (15) for coupling and uncoupling, as required, at least one battery pack (16), a mechanical-hydraulic interface (4) for connecting a hydraulic tool (3), and an electric motor (17) which can be driven by the electrical power of the battery pack (16) and which is designed to drive the hydraulic pump (18). The electric motor (17) is in the form of a disc motor (19), the axial length (22) of which running parallel to the longitudinal axis of its output shaft (21) being shorter than its external diameter (23).
