[origin: WO2018228742A1] The invention relates to a heavy load carrier having preferably arranged side walls (2, 4, 6, 8), wherein at least one of the side walls (2) has a flap (12) which, in the closed position, closes a flap opening (26) in the side wall and, by pivoting, can be transferred to an open position, in which the flap (12) is folded onto the side wall (2) from outside. The flap (12) is articulatedly connected to the side wall (2) by means of coupling elements (18), wherein the coupling elements (18) are articulatedly connected on the one hand to the side wall by means of side-wall joints and on the other hand to the flap by means of flap joints, and wherein at least one forcible guide (28, 34, 42) for the flap (12) is provided which, as the flap (12) is pivoted, simultaneously effects a translational flap movement in the plane of the flap, in such a way that, during the closing of the flap opening (26), the flap (12) is moved outward in the direction of the upper edge of the side wall (2).
