[origin: CA3067655A1] The present invention relates to a centrifuge for cleaning a reaction vessel, comprising a rotor and a rotor compartment (9) in which the rotor is rotatably mounted. The rotor compartment (9) is delimited by a housing having a drainage channel (22) beneath the rotor. Adjacent to the channel (22), the inner surface of the housing has a funnel-like (26) form leading into the channel. This centrifuge does not require a suction pump for suctioning liquids from the rotor compartment. In addition, the centrifuge can be provided with an exchangeable module which delimits the rotor compartment and comprises the rotor. The exchangeable module can be exchanged after a predetermined period of use and replaced by another. However, the module can also be removed from the centrifuge, cleaned and re-inserted.
