The plurality of slats (21) are coupled to one another such that they can be moved by means of the displacement device (22a, 22b, 23), by displacement of the slats (21) in an opening and closing direction (X), from a closed position, in which the broad sides (21a) of the slats lie flush substantially in a plane parallel to the opening and closing direction (X), and narrow sides (21b) of adjacent slats (21) face one another, into an open position, in which the broad sides (21a) of the slats (21), in particular of each of the slats (21), lie in particular parallel to one another, but not parallel to the opening and closing direction (X). The displacement device (22a, 22b, 23) comprises at least one pulling means (22a, 22b) which is coupled at one end to the slatted curtain. The slat system (20) further comprises at least a first cable pulley (23, 23') which is mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis (A) in two directions (P1, P2) and to which the pulling means (22a, 22b) is fastened by its other end, wherein the cable pulley (23) has arranged thereon at least one arresting means (25, 26) which is designed to block the rotation of the cable pulley (23) in the open position.
