[origin: WO2019007692A1] The invention relates to a device for generating flash and/or bang effects. The device has a body (1) and an exterior space outside of the body (1). A high pressure charging chamber (2) and a pyrotechnic set (3) are arranged within the body (1), wherein the high pressure charging chamber (2) is connected to the exterior space by at least two overflow cross-sections (4). Furthermore, there is at least one bursting membrane (5), which seals the high-pressure charging chamber (2) from the exterior space in a fluid-tight manner. The bursting membrane (5) can assume a closed or an opened state and the burst membrane (5) is transitioned from the closed to the opened state thereof by the influence of pressure or heat.
