[origin: WO2019008253A1] The invention relates to the encoding of an image (ICj) divided into blocks, said image containing separate first and second zones (Z1, Z2). The encoding is characterised in that it implements the following, for at least one current block (Bu) of the image: determining (C4) to which of the first and second zones the current block pertains; if the current block pertains to the first zone (Z1), encoding (C5a)) the current block by means of a first encoding method (MC1); if the current block pertains to the second zone (Z2), encoding (C5b)) the current block by means of a second encoding method (MC2) comprising the following: from the position of the current block in the second zone, identifying (C51b)) a previously encoded, then decoded block (Bref) located in the first zone of the image; and reproducing the value of at least one encoding parameter (PRC1) associated with the identified block.
