The present disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, security- and safety-related services, etc.) based on a 5G communication system and an IoT-related technology. The present invention discloses an event detecting a radio link failure in a millimeter-wave (mmW) system. A control signal processing method in a wireless communication system comprises the following steps: receiving a first control signal transmitted from a base station; processing the received first control signal; and transmitting a second control signal generated based on the process to the base station.
