[origin: WO2019018865A1] A cover device for floor coverings (10), comprising a fastening rail (1) which can be laid along a floor covering edge to be covered, and comprising a cover profile (4), which can be connected to the fastening rail (1) by fastening screws (8) which are distributed over the profile length and which engage between two longitudinal limbs (2, 3) of the fastening rail that form a U-profile. In order to achieve advantageous construction conditions, it is proposed that the cover profile (4) on its underside comprises two longitudinal limbs (5, 6) likewise forming a U-profile, that the two U-profiles of the fastening rail (1) and of the cover profile (4) engage in one another, and that the fastening screws penetrating the cover profile (4) between the two longitudinal limbs (5, 6) thereof engage in a drive-in channel (7) between the two longitudinal limbs (2, 5) of the fastening rail (1) that are inner longitudinal limbs in respect of the U-profiles engaging in one another and press an inner longitudinal limb (5) of one U-profile against an outer longitudinal limb (3) of the other U-profile in a clamping manner.
