A heat exchange apparatus of a laundry drying appliance includes a tiled pipe (160,260) in which a fluid passage is formed, the pipe (160,260) having an inlet (161) and an outlet (162), thereby forming a fluid passage (11,110) for flowing of a cooling medium in the pipe (160,260), where the pipe (160,260) is made of metal or a material whose thermal conductivity is not inferior to metal. A periphery of the pipe (160,260) can contact process air, so a heat exchange area is large, and heat exchange efficiency is relatively high. The present invention further discloses a laundry drying appliance having the heat exchange apparatus.
