[origin: WO2019025473A2] The invention relates to a method for producing a compressed air foam and to a corresponding device. The method comprises making available extinguishing water to which a foaming agent has been admixed, and foaming the extinguishing water,to which the foaming agent has been admixed, while adding compressed gas, the compressed gas comprising a chemical extinguishing agent. The method and the device according to the invention make it possible to produce an effective extinguishing foam owing to the inhibitory action of the chemical extinguishing agent.
