[origin: EP3666951A1] Provided are: a cloth including thermoplastic synthetic staple fibers, especially a woven or knitted fabric in which occurrence of pilling is suppressed and a reduction of the strength or deterioration of the texture of the cloth is suppressed; and a method for manufacturing the cloth. An anti-pilling cloth including thermoplastic synthetic staple fibers, wherein the anti-pilling cloth is characterized by having, on the surface of at least one side of the cloth, melt balls at ends of the staple fibers and polishing traces of melt balls at fluff tip ends of the staple fibers; and a method for manufacturing the anti-pilling cloth.
