Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019034381A1] The invention relates to an elevator system (10) comprising an elevator cab (14) which can be moved in an elevator shaft (12) in the vertical direction. Additionally, the elevator system (10) has a closed support means (26a) which is guided about a lower deflection roller (28) and an upper deflection roller (30) and a drive machine (34a) which is paired with the support means (26a). In order to produce a drive connection between the support means (26) and the elevator cab (14), a coupling device which can be coupled to a coupling element (44.1a) of the support means (26a) is arranged on the elevator cab (14). According to the invention, the coupling element (44.1.a) of the support means (26a) is designed as a connection element which connects two free ends of the support means (26a) together.
