The carding elements (14) co-operate with at least one arcuate sliding rail (18), arranged on both sides of the drum (4) on a side plate, each sliding rail (18) having at least one wedge-shaped rail (20) which is movably arranged on a mutually oriented wedge-shaped support element (19), and the rail (20) can be adjusted and fixed on the support element (19) by means of a device. The invention is characterised in that the device can be fixed on a lateral end face of the support element (19).
