Abstract (en)
A printing apparatus (100) includes a laser device (14) configured to direct a laser beam onto a recording medium (RL) for printing target information on the recording medium (RL), an adjustment unit (63) configured to calculate intensity of the laser beam to be directed onto the recording medium (RL) based on optical properties of the recording medium (RL) and optical properties of an irradiation stand (70) provided opposite the laser device (14) across the recording medium (RL), and adjust the intensity of the laser beam and an irradiation time of the laser beam so as to direct the laser beam onto the recording medium (RL) at a constant intensity, and an irradiation control unit (64) configured to control the laser device (14) to direct the laser beam onto the recording medium (RL) based on the intensity and irradiation time as adjusted by the adjustment unit (63).
