Abstract (en)

[origin: EP3675460A1] Embodiments of this application provide a file sharing method and a terminal, and relate to the field of communications technologies, so as to simplify user's operations in a process of sharing a file across terminals, and improve efficiency of file sharing between the terminals. The method includes: displaying, by a terminal, a first screen that includes a to-be-shared file; displaying, by the terminal, at least one sharing peer of the to-be-shared file in a preset area in response to detecting that the to-be-shared file is moved into the preset area on the first screen, where the sharing peer includes an icon of a device or a user that is to receive the to-be-shared file; and sending, by the terminal, the to-be-shared file to a target sharing peer in response to detecting that the to-be-shared file is moved into a hot zone of the target sharing peer, where the target sharing peer is one of the at least one sharing peer.
