[origin: WO2019043110A1] A breathing assistance mask has an air blower arrangement at least for drawing air from outside into the mask volume. The temperature and relative humidity is monitored inside the mask volume and from this a threshold temperature can be determined, such as the dew point temperature (or a temperature dependent on the dew point temperature). By monitoring at least the exterior temperature, the air blower arrangement may be controlled to maintain the temperature in the air chamber above the threshold temperature, in particular to prevent condensation forming inside the mask volume.
