[origin: GB2566080A] A surgical table comprising a base, a column with an adjustable height, a table top, a moveable framework mounted 50 between the column and table top and an actuator mechanism to raise and lower the framework 50 relative to the base and tilt it about a transverse axis wherein the actuator mechanism has first and second actuators 78 extending between the framework 50 and column wherein the connections to the framework 50 are spaced on opposed sides of the transverse axis and the first and second actuators 78 are positioned to extend away from a vertical plane extending through the transverse axis so that their upper ends are further from the plane than their lower ends. Also disclosed is a surgical table with a linear guide mechanism with a brace and a surgical table with a framework with an opening which allows it to be lowered around a column.
