Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019048097A1] The invention relates to a separator for rivet elements (3), comprising an inlet (4) and an outlet (5) for the rivet elements (3) to be separated and comprising a guide (6), which extends along a center line (M) from the inlet (4) to the outlet (5) and through which the rivet elements (3) can be conveyed in a conveying direction (F). The separator (2) has a first blocking element (8), in particular a first pin, and a second blocking element (9), in particular a second pin, which is spaced apart from the first blocking element (8) along the center line (M). The first blocking element (8) and the second blocking element (9) can be moved independently of each other between a blocking position, in which the blocking element blocks the guide (6) for a rivet element (3), and an unblocking position, in which the blocking element unblocks the guide (6) for a rivet element (3). According to the invention, at least one blocking element (8, 9), preferably both blocking elements (8, 9), is arranged in such a way that the direction of movement (B1, B2) of the one or both blocking elements (8, 9) is oriented oblique to the conveying direction (F) of the rivet elements (3).
