Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019048744A1] The invention relates to a process for producing preforms, comprising the application of a binder to a continuous dry fibre (9) formed from at least two initial fibres, and the layup of said fibre using a layup head in order to form a preform. Binder is applied by means of a fiberisation nozzle (50) comprising a discharge orifice (53) supplied with liquid or pasty binder, and one or more injection orifices (57) supplied with pressurised gas, so as to deliver the binder in the form of a spiral strand (92), the coils being deposited on the fibre running past a nozzle in order to obtain a fibre provided with strands (93) of binder, said strands bonding the initial fibres together.
