Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019043402A1] A process for producing particulate carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate comprising a milling step and a calcination step. The process uses polyvinyl butyral having a having a molecular weight distribution such that at least 75% of the polyvinyl butyral has a molecular weight in the range from 30000 to 90000. The process enables the formation of lithium iron phosphate with improved electrochemical properties.
