The rear wall of the housing is provided with an integrally moulded latching projection for a key tooth of a lock cylinder ofthe key switch. At least one switch insert is arranged in a housing of the key switch, and can be operated by a lock cylinder fastened in the housing. The key switch is characterized in that the housing is two-piece type and consists of a front part and a rear wall; the front part is provided with an integrated front plate and a surrounding shell side wall; the rear wall is provided with lockingprotrusions which are integrally molded and used for key teeth of the lock cylinder, and the front part and the rear wall can be locked with each other.
