[origin: WO2019052694A1] The invention relates to a multi-spindle lathe comprising a machine frame, a spindle drum that is mounted on the machine frame such that it can rotate about a spindle drum axis, and workpiece spindles that are respectively arranged in a spindle position on the spindle drum and are mounted such that they can rotate about a workpiece spindle axis in relation to the spindle drum, said spindles being positionable in different spindle stations arranged in a stationary manner in relation to the machine frame, by rotating the spindle drum about the spindle drum axis, for machining workpieces arranged in said workpiece spindles. For plain turning machining, a workpiece guide bushing for guiding a material bar held in the workpiece spindle is associated with each workpiece spindle, and is arranged such that it can move in relation to the respective workpiece spindle in a direction parallel to the workpiece spindle axis.
