[origin: WO2019091772A1] The invention relates to a method for a train control system (4), wherein a vehicle-side transmission device (12; 17), by means of modulation, forms a modulated activation signal (36; 56) from an activation signal (34; 54) and an information signal (35; 55) and transmits said modulated activation signal to a track-side transmission device (16; 19) via a transmission channel (38; 58). For improved monitoring of the position of track-guided vehicles, in particular rail vehicles, on a track section, according to the invention the track-side transmission device (16; 19) determines the information signal (35; 55) by demodulating the modulated activation signal (36; 56). The invention further relates to a track-side transmission device and to a subsystem for a train control system.
