[origin: WO2019042650A1] The invention relates to a treatment machine (1) for containers (2), in particular a direct printing machine, comprising: a production region (3) with transport means (4) for the containers (2) and treatment assemblies (5) for applying and/or curing UV-reactive materials (6) onto the containers (2); a housing (7) which surrounds the production region (3); and lighting (8) for the production region (3), wherein the lighting (8) can be changed between a maintenance mode (10) and a production mode (11) in a controlled manner such that a UV-emission component of the light emitted by the lighting (8) is reduced in the production mode (11) compared to the maintenance mode (10).
