[origin: WO2019060938A1] The invention relates to a method for generating a dynamic speed profile of a motor vehicle, which is suitable for the simulation of an in particular real driving operation on a route, having the following working steps: determining a section-based static speed profile, resolved into route segments, for the route on the basis of information from a digital map; starting from the section-based static speed profile, determining a section-based dynamized speed profile which takes into account a defined maximum intended retardation in order to achieve mandatory speed minima of the speed profile; starting from the section-based dynamized speed profile, determining a time-based dynamic speed profile resolved into time steps, wherein in each time step an applied acceleration is determined on the basis of the speed in a route segment, which is predefined by the speed profile and which corresponds to the respective time step, and the speed applied in the time step; and outputting the time-based dynamic speed profile.
