[origin: WO2019064159A1] This disclosure relates to an apparatus (100) for shrinking fabrics, said apparatus (100) comprising a shrinking station (130) having a feeding cylinder (131) and a retarding cylinder (132) that are arranged in series and spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction (L). The apparatus (100) further comprises blowing means set in fluid communication with a cavity (C) intended to receive a fabric (F) drawn from said feeding cylinder (131) to said retarding cylinder (132), said blowing means being set in fluid communication with said cavity (C) through one or more channels (135, 136) whose outlets are arranged close to the feeding cylinder (131) and the retarding cylinder (132). The disclosure relates further to a shrinking method carried implemented by means of the above apparatus (100).
