Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019075585A1] In an assembly apparatus (1) for producing a press-fit connection between a fitting kit (8) and a pipe section (9, 9'), the fitting kit (8) initially comprises a sleeve-like intermediate piece (81), which is intended to receive internally an axially introduced connection end (99) of the pipe section (9, 9'). A press ring (82) provided for sliding, by means of the assembly apparatus (1), over the intermediate piece (81) with the effect of creating a pressure-tight and mechanically loadable press-fit connection between the connecting end (99) and the intermediate piece (81) is a further component of the fitting kit (8). The assembly apparatus (1) comprises a first apparatus half (11) and a substantially identical second apparatus half (12) which is complementary to the first, which each have a basically hemispherical form, are separated from one another when stored and which have coupling means (24, 44; 73) for detachable joining with the concave sides thereof directed towards one another to achieve the operating state.
