[origin: WO2019076402A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a locking mechanism (1, 2) that consists essentially of a rotary latch (1) and a pawl (2). Also, at least one actuating lever chain (7, 8) for opening the locking mechanism (1, 2) in an emergency is provided. In addition, a control element (10, 11, 12) which blocks the actuating lever chain (7, 8) indirectly or directly in normal operation and releases it in the event of an emergency, is provided. According to the invention, the control element (10, 11, 12) is equipped with an electric motor (10) having an output element (11).
