[origin: WO2019076407A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, comprising: a locking mechanism (1, 2), which substantially consists of a rotary latch (1) and a pawl (2); an electric drive (6, 7) for the locking mechanism (1, 2); and an actuation lever chain (8, 9) between the electric drive (6, 7) and the locking mechanism (1, 2). The actuation lever chain (8, 9) can be engaged or disengaged by means of an emergency actuation element (10). Furthermore, the actuation lever chain (8, 9) is equipped with at least one lever (8) and one pawl (9), which is mounted on said lever and can be acted upon by the emergency actuation element (10). According to the invention, the emergency actuation element (10) is functionally and structurally independent of the electric drive (6, 7).
