[origin: CN111623523A] The invention relates to a continuous flow heater for heating a liquid (16). The continuous flow heater comprises a heating cartridge having at least one channel assembly (10) through which a fluid flows. The channel assembly (10) is formed by a plurality of electrically-heated heating channels (12) provided for heating the liquid (16), by unheated no-load channels (14) and by flow deflecting channels (15). The channel assembly is characterised in that: at least one of the no-load channels (14) is arranged at least between two respective ones of the heating channels (12) by means of the flow deflecting channel (15); each of the heating channels (12) is oriented in the operating assembly position of the continuous flow heater in such a way that the liquid flow direction (11) of each of theheating channels (12) is directed at least substantially counter to the gravity. The invention also relates to a method for controlling such a continuous flow heater.
