[origin: WO2019115758A1] The present invention an electronic cigarette (10) comprising a housing (12) with an aperture (14) leading to a receiving chamber (16) within the housing (12) wherein the receiving chamber (16) is configured to receive and accommodate a capsule (40); a piercing member (20) configured to pierce the capsule (40) within the receiving chamber (16); and a slidable cover (18) configured to be moved between an open position in which a capsule (40) can be introduced through the aperture (14) and a closed position in which the slidable cover (18) covers the aperture (14); wherein the piercing member (20) and the slidable cover (18) are coupled and configured to be moved in unison.
