[origin: WO2019093970A1] A hydraulic assembly for controlling a winding drum (5) by means of a brake and clutch (5) in a forestry winch is characterized by arrangement of a clutch (5), which is together with its friction discs (51) is located on the same side (21) of the winding drum (2) as the brake disc (3), and friction discs (51) of the clutch (5) are, by means of a hydraulic displacing assembly (6), displaceable in a direction along the shaft (1) towards said side (21) of the winding drum (2). Consequently, a compact and rigid concept of controlling of operation of a winding drum (2) is achieved, which is resistant against loads acting from various directions. Besides, all components of the clutch (5) and the brake, as well as the units (61, 62) of the hydraulic displacing assembly (6) used for controlling of clutch (5) are arranged within the same easily accessible area in the winch casing (10), which then enables much easier supervision, maintenance or repair.
