[origin: WO2019092034A1] The present invention proposes a rotary electric machine, notably for a motor vehicle, having: - a rotor (12) and a stator (15) forming active parts extending along an axis (X), - a casing (11) surrounding the active parts and having at least one flange (16), the flange having a transverse portion (38) extending substantially radially and a nose (39) protruding from the transverse portion, - a rolling bearing (18) housed radially in the nose of the flange, and - a plate (43) for axially supporting the rolling bearing. According to the invention, the plate (43) has a radially extending flat portion (44) and a lip (45) protruding axially from the flat portion so as to come into contact with the rolling bearing (18).
