Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Helm (1) mit einem Kinnschutz (2), wobei der Kinnschutz (2) am Helm (1) lösbar befestigt ist und ein Anbringen und/oder Lösen des Kinnschutzes (2) von der Außenseite des Helms (1) aus erfolgen kann. Die Verbindung zwischen Helm (1) und abnehmbaren Kinnschutz (2) erfolgt über einen speziell ausgestalteten Verbindungsabschnitt (3), welcher eine hohe Sicherheit gegen das unbeabsichtigte Lösen des Kinnschutzes vom Helm aufweist.
