[origin: EP3709633A1] Provided in the present invention are a video recording method and a video recording terminal, the method comprising: when receiving a recording instruction inputted by a user, recording a video, and then pausing the recording when receiving a pause instruction inputted by the user and generating a first video file; continuing to display a dynamic image collected by an image sensor in real time, and carrying out layered display of a last frame image subjected to transparency processing of the first video file on the dynamic image; when receiving a continue recording instruction inputted by the user, continuing to record the video, and then stopping recording when receiving a stop instruction inputted by the user and generating a second video file; and splicing the first video file and the second video file into a target video file. Therefore, when the user continues recording the video, the user may position an image by means of the last frame image retained when the first video is recorded therebefore, such that a subsequently recorded second video may join well with the previously recorded first video, thereby increasing the interest in self-made videos, and thus increasing the click-through rate of a self-made video.
