Abstract (en)
The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling a multiphase electrical machine (2) having a stator (3) with three-phase windings (5). The method comprises receiving current measurements (6) of the windings. The method also comprises using VSD to determine a measured current vector comprising fundamental and harmonic frequency components of the measured currents combined, determine a reference current vector comprising fundamental and harmonic frequency components of the current reference, and determine a multiphase voltage reference vector comprising fundamental and harmonic frequency components. The method also comprises, for each of the n three-phase windings, calculating a three-phase voltage reference based on a predetermined relationship between the determined multiphase reference voltage vector and the respective n three-phase voltage references. The method also comprises, providing the calculated three-phase voltage reference to a respective three-phase modulator (8) for a power electronic converter (7) connected with said three-phase winding.
