At the locked position, the locking section of the locking mechanism cooperates with the traction mechanism in a form-fitting manner. The method has the following method steps: in a triggering step, a locking command for moving the locking mechanism into the locked position is transmitted to the locking device; and in a detection step following the triggering step, the position of the locking mechanism is detected by means of a position sensor of the locking device.
