Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019100097A1] The invention relates to a transport arrangement for transporting containers (2), comprising at least two transport robots (1, 1a) which are designed to lift and transport a container (2) together, wherein the transport robots (1, 1a) have at least one communication unit for communication with each other, at least one container corner locking means (5, 5a), at least one lifting force torque support (4, 4a), and at least two sets of running gear (8, 8a, 8b) having a wheel drive (12). The aim of the invention is to provide a transport arrangement and a method which permits the fastest possible and most efficient transport of containers. This aim is achieved in that the at least two sets of running gear (8, 8ab, 8) each have a drive wheel (11, 11a) connected to the wheel drive (12), the wheel axle of which drive wheel can be pivoted about a substantially vertical main axis of rotation (17a) both when uncoupled and when coupled to the container (2).
