[origin: WO2019166271A1] The present invention relates to a method for treating a fibrous material web (1) in a paper- or tissue-making machine (2) with a long nip pressing unit (3). This long nip pressing unit (3) consists of a shoe press roll (4) with a rotating press shell (5) and a counter roll (6), wherein the fibrous material web (1) is dewatered in the extended press nip (7) between the counter roll (6) and the press shell (5), and wherein the fibrous material web (1), after the extended press nip (7), is guided over the rotating press shell (5) of the press roll (4) to a transfer clothing (9), which receives the fibrous material web (1). In accordance with the invention the transfer clothing (9) is guided via a fixed transfer device (10) in the transfer region (8). The invention further relates to a corresponding device for treating the fibrous material web (1).
