[origin: WO2019110943A1] The invention relates to a device for maintaining a cane (1), intended for use as a walking aid, in a stand-by position, said device comprising a first coupling member (2) intended to be mounted to the cane. The device comprises: a body (4) intended to be mounted to the cane, the body bearing the first coupling member; and at least one second coupling member (3) intended to be attached to a support (5) external to the device, the second coupling member being complementary to the first coupling member such that the cane can be maintained in a stand-by position in which it is not held by the user. The first and second coupling members create a magnetic coupling, at least one of said coupling members being a magnet (20).
