Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019111090A1] The invention discloses a method for operating a winding machine (24) for rewinding cops (7) of a preceding ring spinning machine (1) having a plurality of spindles (24) that are arranged on a spindle rail (22) and each comprise an electric drive (9). Each electric drive (9) has a decentralised control module (10), which acts with the electric drive (9) and has means for communicating (10) by means of a data bus (13, 14) with a superordinate central control device (12). According to the invention, the decentralised control modules (10) of the individual spindle drives capture information about the shape or structure of the cops or about the created thread. This information is transferred to the winding machine (8) and the winding machine (24) takes the received information into consideration when unwinding the cops (7) and producing the crosswound bobbins (25).
