[origin: WO2019161943A1] The invention relates to a lightning arrester device consisting of a catching device (1) having an electrical conductor (2) which is connected to an earthing installation and which is surrounded by insulation (4) surrounded by a longitudinally continuous layer (5) made from a material which forms a conductive layer, wherein: a connecting cap (6) is positioned on the end region, facing the catching device (1), of the insulation (4) and of the layer (5) surrounding said insulation, by means of which connecting cap the catching device (1) and/or the electrical conductor (2) is connected to the layer (5); the connecting cap (6) is sleeve-shaped and is applied with the sleeve casing to the insulation (4) and to the layer (5) surrounding said insulation, and the sleeve base (7) of the connecting cap serves as an insertion limit for the insulation (4) and the layer (5); a blind hole (8), into which the stripped end of the conductor (2) is inserted, adjoins the sleeve base (7); and an interlocking part (10) is integrally formed inside the sleeve casing of the connecting cap (6) and is interlockingly connected to the insulation (4) in the desired assembly position, thereby deforming the insulation (4).
