Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020207766A1] The invention relates to a process (100, 101, 102) for recovering alkaline solution (1) from a waste liquor (2) contaminated with hemicelluloses (5), and to a method (200, 300) for treating (210, 310) a starting material (203, 303) that comprises cellulose, which method comprises a process (100, 101, 102) of this type, wherein the waste liquor (2), in the form of a supply stream (6), is separated by means of a separating process (7, 50) into at least one alkaline-enriched target fraction (8) and at least one residual fraction (9) that comprises hemicelluloses (5). In order to obtain a recovered alkaline solution having a high level of purity, according to the invention the separating process (7, 50) is a chromatographic separating process (7, 50) and the supply stream (6) is conveyed therein as part of a mobile phase (10) through an alkali-resistant stationary phase (11) in order to separate these into the target fraction (8) and the residual fraction (9).
