Abstract (en)

[origin: GB2569365A] The application discloses a heat not burn consumable 1 (also known as a non-combustible cigarette). The consumable comprises a vapour generating member 7 (VGM) preferably a tubular sheet of reconstituted tobacco with a channel defined inside. The channel has an inlet 5 which is configured to cooperate with a heating device. The VGM (tobacco sheet) comprises between 0.0001-0.02 milligrams per millimeter squared of an active substance (preferably nicotine). More preferably, the VGM comprises 0.001-0.01 milligrams per millimeter squared of nicotine. Also preferably, a passageway extends from the inlet to an outlet at the other end of the consumable, where the channel forms at least a portion of said passageway. Preferably the VGM has a thickness less than 1.5mm. Also preferably, the portion actively heated of the VGM is between 10-35mm and the total length of the consumable is between 50-100mm. Preferably, the consumable comprises 100-1000mg of tobacco with between 0.2-2.0 milligrams of nicotine. Also preferably, the passageway comprises 20-40% of the total length of the consumable. Preferably, the consumable comprises a mixing zone (or cooling/aerosol chamber) downstream of the VGM.
