[origin: WO2019115746A1] The invention relates to a lighting device (12, 13, 38, 101) of a rear-view device of a motor vehicle, comprising at least one light source (110) having at least one light emitter (111, 112, 113), in particular in the form of an LED, for emitting light, which can be coupled into an optical waveguide (52, 120) by means of at least one light funnel (121, 122, 123) and can be coupled out from there in order to pass at least through a part of a light transfer unit (130) and to light a region next to the motor vehicle, in particular a roadway surface of the motor vehicle, wherein each light emitter (111, 112, 113) is assigned a light funnel (121, 122, 123), an optical axis (A) being defined, and each optical axis (A) has an angle α of up to approximately 40° in relation to a plane, the plane being selected from a horizontal plane, the plane having the roadway surface of the motor vehicle, a perpendicular plane that extends substantially perpendicularly to the body part to which the rear-view device is attached, and/or a plane (B) that comprises the bottom side of the optical waveguide (120), for bundling, in particular focusing, the light coupled out of each light funnel (121, 122, 123) at a light window (36, 131) of the light transfer unit (130). The invention further relates to a rear-view device having a lighting device of this type and to a motor vehicle having a rear-view device of this type.
