[origin: WO2019114863A1] The invention relates to an add-on housing (1) for a plug-in connection with a frame-like basic form (2), wherein fastening means for fastening the add-on housing (1) to a wall aperture are integrally formed within the frame-like basic form (2), wherein the add-on housing (1) has at least one clamping element (7) which can be captively clamped within the frame-like basic form (2), wherein a holding frame (3) or a contact insert can be fixed to the at least one clamping element (7). The invention also relates to a method for fastening an add-on housing to a wall aperture: - A frame-like basic form (2) is fixed to the wall aperture by means of the internal fastening means. - Then, at least one clamping element (7), but preferably two clamping elements (7), is/are fixed within the frame-like basic form (2) without tools. - A holding frame (3) which is fitted with plug-in connector modules or a contact insert is then mounted onto the clamping elements (7) and fixed thereto.
