[origin: WO2019242910A1] The invention relates to a furniture system (1) having mounting rails (17) that are more particularly to be secured to a wall or rear panel and have openings (17a) in which suspension sections (18b, 19b) are suspended or can be suspended and are connected to said rails with storage elements (18, 19). The furniture system further comprises a rear panel (13) extending with two long narrow sides substantially in the vertical direction, which rear panel butts against or is secured to the mounting rails (17), wherein at least one, particularly strip-shaped, rear panel side part (16) is further arranged at least parallel to a long narrow side, more particularly parallel to both long narrow sides of the of the rear panel (13), which rear panel side part butts against or is secured to the mounting rail (17). A cut-out, more particularly a slot (20), is formed in a transition region from the rear panel (13) to the rear panel side part (16), more particularly between the long narrow side of the rear panel (13) and the long narrow side of the at least one rear panel side part (16), which slot allows access to at least a part of the openings (17a) in a mounting rail (17).
