[origin: WO2019123405A1] The invention relates to a multilayer, oxygen barrier film comprising: - a first layer (1) comprising at least 80 % by weight of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) as calculated on the total solid content of said layer, - a second layer (2) comprising a polymer and optionally pigments, and - a third layer (3) comprising at least 40 %, preferably at least 50 %, by weight of chemically modified microfibrillated cellulose as calculated on the total solid content of said layer. The multilayer film of the invention has shown to provide excellent and stable gas barrier properties, especially oxygen barrier properties, also at high humidity as well as good strength properties.
