[origin: WO2019123402A1] The invention relates to a coin unit, comprising at least one hopper for storing or dispensing a first coin class and a processing unit for a second coin class and a third coin class. The sum of the denominations of the second and third coin classes as complementary coin classes forms the denomination or an integer multiple of the denomination of the first coin class. A bypass store and a timing element are provided. The bypass store can be activated by at least one coin of the second or third coin class and said at least one coin can be stored in the bypass store.
