Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2019166390A1] The invention relates to a thermoelectric module (7) for thermoelectrically generating power, in particular in the exhaust line of an internal combustion engine, comprising a base (8) and a plurality of thermoelements, each of which has two limbs (13), wherein the thermoelements are electrically connected in series and are mounted on the base (8). According to the invention, the base (8) consists of a metal material, which facilitates an inexpensive production, allows substantially larger formats, and makes the thermoelectric module (7) substantially more mechanically insensitive than in a conventional base made of ceramic. The invention additionally relates to a corresponding production method.
